Prof.A. S. Moharir is faculty in the Computer Aided Design Centre of the Department of Chemical Engineering of IIT Bombay since the last 25 years.
He got his Doctorate from IIT Kanpur in 1981.
His areas of active interest
are Mathematical Modeling, Simulation, Optimization and Control of
Chemical Processes, Reactor Modeling, Adsorptive Separation Processes,
Computer Aided Design and Engineering, Process Plant Engineering and
Piping Engineering.
He has done projects with many Indian and
International organizations such as UOP, EIL, NTPC, APL, L&T, ONGC, GAIL
etc. The class room and on-line versions of his course on Piping
Engineering has benefited over 6000 engineers in the last 20 years.
